Tale As Old As Time

After almost three months of waiting since we received tickets from my parents for Christmas, the night finally arrived!

The show was absolutely AMAZING-we loved it!! Beauty and the Beast has always been my favorite, and it was enchanting to see it live on stage. I was SO excited! The music was gorgeous, we loved the original songs, and loved the new ones-I especially liked the one the Beast sings when he lets Belle go. The costumes were adorable, and so were all of the little girls dressed up in princess dresses that came to see the show :) At the point where the beast is stabbed and falls off of a tower on stage one of the children yelled "NOOO!" and then started sobbing, it was heartbreaking! The set was beautiful, and there were quite a few magic tricks throughout the show; when the beast changes back into a prince he really rises up in the air and spins around, Chip was a little boy, but all you ever saw of him was his head until the end of the play, and the enchantress and wolf puppets were awesome. There was plenty of humor, and of course the story as a whole is charming. Before the show we ate at the Blue Iguana, which has quickly become one of our favorite restaurants, and then walked around the grand opening of the City Creek mall (pictures to come soon! ) until the doors opened for the theater. We LOVED the show, and are so glad we had the opportunity to go! What a wonderful evening out together! :)
